2 Pack 16mm M16 Block-Off Fuel Rail Cap Set for Cummins
This two-piece set includes two 16mm caps with an M16 x 1.5 thread. Each cap seals a diesel common rail fuel line or blocks fuel supply to one cylinder. Blocking one injector at a time helps isolate cylinders when diagnosing engine issues, such as locating a faulty injector or tracking down knock noises.
The caps are made from carbon steel. To test, disconnect the fuel injection line from one cylinder and fit the matching cap to the fuel rail. A rise in fuel pressure can point to a faulty injector. Using more than one block-off tool may help, since several injectors returning small amounts of fuel can look like one injector with high fuel return.
