Use the press plate, fixture and drive screw to apply steady mechanical force when seating a flat-top or grooved-top liner. After installation, place the 6434 bridge-style base across the engine block deck. Use the pointed contact to check sleeve height or liner protrusion, then switch to the flat contact to measure counterbore depth.
