Key features

• 5000# Pressure Transmitter, 5000 Psi - for Ashcroft K17m0242c1 for single‑family homes, apartments, multi‑unit dwellings and light‑commercial plumbing installations. Operates across standard cold‑water temperature range for domestic water supply.
• This pressure‑reducing valve (PRV) reduces excessive incoming municipal water pressure down to safe, stable downstream pressure. Factory preset outlet pressure, adjustable within specified pressure range, effectively safeguards household plumbing, water heaters, fixtures and water‑using appliances from high‑pressure damage.
• FNPT union‑style inlet and outlet simplify installation and future servicing without cutting pipe. Integrated removable stainless‑steel strainer traps sediment, sand and debris to protect internal valve components and extend service lifespan.
• Built‑In Thermal Expansion Bypass Relief Function — Integrated thermal‑expansion bypass relieves excess pressure created when hot water expands inside closed plumbing lines. Prevents dangerous pressure build‑up caused by water‑heater heating cycles, reducing risk of pipe burst, fitting leakage and appliance failure. Pressure‑gauge port allows optional gauge installation for real‑time pressure monitoring.
