- Align existing bolt holes: This 7/8-inch high-speed steel bridge reamer enlarges overlapping or undersized openings before bolt or rivet installation, creating a common passage through the parts.
- 3-flat drill-chuck grip: The 1/2-inch straight shank has three equal flats to help reduce slipping in a compatible chuck. Select the chuck by shank diameter, not cutting diameter.
- Five-flute cutting geometry: A left-hand spiral and right-hand cut combine in this construction reamer for portable reaming of existing holes.
- Tapered entry for overlapping holes: The point enters the shared opening so the cutting edges can remove interfering material as reaming progresses.
- Size-specific dimensions: 7/8-inch cutting diameter, 1/2-inch shank diameter, 1-1/2-inch shank length, 5-inch flute length and 6-7/8-inch overall length; 8-degree taper.
