• 1/16 INCH BODY, LONGER LIFE: At .0625" thickness, this cutoff wheel carries more abrasive than a thin .045" disc, so it survives more cuts before it wears down. The extra body stiffens the wheel against side load, which is where a thin disc fails on a bound or twisted cut.
• STEEL, STAINLESS AND ALUMINUM: This metal cutting disc slices carbon steel, stainless and cast iron, and doubles as an aluminum cut off wheel. Run these metal cutting discs 4-1/2 for angle grinder work on rebar, angle iron, pipe, tubing, bar stock, and seized bolts.
• CUTTING ONLY, NOT GRINDING: Cut-off wheels cut on the edge, not the face. Never run a grinder cutting wheel across a surface or use one for weld dressing. For grinding work, mount a BHA Type 27 grinding wheel instead, built with the body and bond for it.
