Crankcase Ventilation PCV Valve, OE Number 11127794597, ABS, 1 Piece Kit

This PCV valve handles crankcase ventilation, routing blow-by gases from the crankcase back into the intake so they can be burned during combustion. It is molded from ABS, a plastic that resists oil, fuel and common automotive chemicals.

Its job is to help hold crankcase pressure at a steady level, which helps reduce the chance of oil leaks and seal damage. The valve also separates moisture and fuel particles from the crankcase. The kit includes one valve. Fitting involves disconnecting the hose, swapping out the old valve and seating the new one in its grommet, then reconnecting the hose and checking for vacuum leaks after startup. A failed valve can lead to higher crankcase pressure, rougher engine running and greater oil use, so replace a damaged unit promptly.
