Unplug the range from the electrical outlet before beginning any repairs. Step 2: Remove Existing Switch Using a screwdriver, remove the screws securing the existing switch in place and then gently pry out the switch from the back panel. Make sure to mark and note any wires that may be attached to the switch for easy reference later. Step 3: Install New Switch Attach the new switch to the back panel and tighten the screws securely. Then, reconnect each wire marked earlier to the appropriate terminal on the new switch. Step 4: Test New Switch Once the wiring is completed, plug the range back into an electrical outlet and test the new switch by turning it on and off.
