This alignment band is a tool for rebuilding the front pump of an automatic transmission. It holds the pump cover in line with the pump body so the two parts sit correctly together during reassembly.

The band is made of all-metal steel and is built for accurate positioning over long use. A wing nut lets you adjust it quickly without extra tools, and the tool covers a range of transmission models.
