The JCM 250-15VX2X0.5A is an open frame center tap power transformer for dependable AC voltage conversion. Wire the tapped primary to 110V/120VAC or 220V/240VAC 50/60Hz mains for a clean 15V-0-15V secondary rated 0.5A continuous, 30VAC tap to tap - a true 120vac to 15v ac transformer and 240v to 15v transformer. How it works: the output has three wires; connect either side wire with the center wire for 15 volts AC, or use the two outside wires together for 30 volts AC. Same from 120v or 240v mains, at 0.5A continuous. Unlike a 120v to 15v converter (DC output), this 15v ac transformer delivers true AC - the 15 volt transformer for dual rail linear power supplies, audio amplifiers, battery chargers, lab equipment and electronics repair.
