This is a new rear output shaft seal, intended to replace a worn seal that is leaking at the rear shaft. It is supplied with the items needed for the seal change.

The seal sits in the rearmost housing, at the point where the rear driveshaft enters the extension housing (tailcone). It keeps fluid inside the case around the turning driveshaft yoke.
