Refresh Plus Refrigerator Water Filter Replacement for GE RPWF, 2-Pack

Key features

• 💧 PREMIUM: GE built two filters that look almost identical. Getting the right one is half the job; getting the better one is the other half. Refresh Plus is the upper tier of the Refresh line — the same exact GE fit as the standard R-3600, built to a higher specification: a 0.5 micron carbon block instead of 5 micron, and built to NSF/ANSI 53 on top of NSF/ANSI 42. Ten times finer media, two standards not one.
• 💧 FITMENT: Replaces GE RPWF, RWF1063, RWF3600A and WSG-4. It does not fit the RPWFE. The RPWFE is a different part: it carries an RFID chip your refrigerator looks for, and this cartridge has none. If there is a small circuit board on the collar of the filter you are removing, order the RPWFE part instead.
• 💧 HEALTH: Every RPWF-compatible cartridge on the shelf is sold on price, and all of them stop at 42. NSF/ANSI 53 is the health-effects standard — what a cartridge is measured against for reducing contaminants classed as health hazards, and it tests the housing itself for material safety and for pressure integrity under cyclic load. Refresh Plus R-3600 is built to both standards.
• 💧 TASTE: GE French-door dispensers are fast, and fast water carries whatever is in it straight to the glass. NSF/ANSI 42 is the aesthetic standard and it is the one you actually taste — chlorine, chloramine, odour and the fine particulate that leaves water cloudy in the glass. Refresh Plus keeps all of it while the calcium, magnesium and potassium that stop water tasting flat stay in.
• 💧 LIFESPAN: Push it into the upper-left bay until it clicks and swing the cover shut. Rated 300 gallons or six months per cartridge, whichever arrives first. This 2-pack is a full year of covered water in one order, at a lower cost per month than buying singles. A cloudy first glass is carbon dust clearing the new block and it is gone inside a minute.
• 💧 COMPATIBILITY: Fits GE GFE28GSKSS, GNE25JSKSS, GFE24JSKSS, GWE19JSLSS, GFE26JSMSS, GNE27JSMSS and PFE28KSKSS French-door refrigerators built for the non-chipped RPWF cartridge and other models built for the RPWF cartridge. Confirm against the number printed on the cartridge you are replacing before ordering.

There are two Refresh cartridges for a GE RPWF fridge. They fit the same bay, seat the same way, and one of them is built to a standard the other is not. This is that one. THE DIFFERENCE: The standard R-3600 is a 5 micron block built to NSF/ANSI 42. Refresh Plus R-3600 is a 0.5 micron block built to NSF/ANSI 53 as well — ten times finer media, held to the health-effects standard on top of the taste one. Identical fit, identical install, different specification. THE TWO STANDARDS: NSF/ANSI 42 is aesthetic — chlorine, chloramine, odour, particulate; what you taste and see. NSF/ANSI 53 is health effects — contaminants classed as health hazards, plus material safety and pressure integrity of the housing. A cartridge needs both to do both. COMPATIBILITY — REPLACES: GE RPWF, RWF1063, RWF3600A and WSG-4. It does not fit the RPWFE. The RPWFE is a different part: it carries an RFID chip your refrigerator looks for, and this cartridge has none. If there is a small circuit board on the collar of the filter you are removing, order the RPWFE part instead.
