This gate valve setter tool is a single fully assembled unit built for placing gate valves from 4 to 12 inches. It slides over a standard 2-inch operating nut and uses a two-piece connected structure so the parts stay together during use. A wide ring handle lets you attach hooks, chains, or ropes for lowering valves into a trench.
The tool is finished with a red coating and is intended for outdoor work in trenches and open sites. It can also be used as a fire hydrant setter to place and align hydrant components. At about 4.5 pounds, it is light enough to carry between work locations.
