The Electric Range Surface Element Control Switch is responsible for turning the surface element on and off and controlling the heat output. This control switch, also known as the infinite switch, is designed for a single element and features a nut-mounted double flat shaft. If your element remains at high heat or fails to turn on, it is possible that the surface element switch has been damaged, and replacing it may resolve the issue. This high-quality and durable replacement part is easy to install with basic hand tools, such as a multi-screwdriver. It only requires minor disassembly of the range and novice repair experience. Before installing this part, remember to unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance.
