This Dryer Heating Element is strung with a coiled wire made of a nickel and chrome alloy. If your dryer isn't heating as expected, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. This wire receives a controlled electric current but resists it, causing the wire to heat up. The heat produced is used to dry the clothes in your dryer. To determine if the original part is defective before you begin the repair, use a multimeter to test for continuity. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, such as a multi-screwdriver, some disassembly of the dryer, and novice repair experience. Before installing this high-quality replacement part, remember to unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker to ensure safety.
