The system combines two separate air-treatment stages in one compact assembly: an oil-removal filter and a desiccant dryer. The oil-removal stage traps 99.9 percent of oil aerosols from the compressed-air stream. The desiccant stage then removes water vapor to provide cleaner, drier air for downstream equipment and compatible finishing applications. Actual air quality depends on inlet conditions, airflow, system maintenance and the condition of the filter and desiccant media. The dryer uses Campbell Hausfeld PA2086 replacement desiccant packs. The desiccant changes color when it needs to be recharged or replaced, providing a visible maintenance indicator. An outlet screen helps prevent desiccant particles from entering the downstream airstream and connected equipment.
