This three-piece tailgate hinge pivot bushing kit is molded from black ABS. The inserts sit in the tailgate hinge hole to reduce metal-to-metal contact at the pivot, which helps the tailgate move smoothly during frequent opening and closing and limits rattling.

Installation involves prying out the worn bushing with a flathead screwdriver, cleaning the hinge hole, pressing the new insert in straight, and tapping the edge until it sits fully seated. No drilling, welding or special tools are needed.
